After our grand adventures in Arizona we had started making our way towards the Lone Star state, but first we made a stop to see the extraterrestrial activity in Roswell.
After all our fun at Disney we had three days to fill in before our next major location. So we decided to take a bit of a detour and high tail it down to Arizona to visit “The Town Too Tough to Die”….
Before leaving New Zealand we all understood that the budget would only allow us to visit one Disney theme park and we all wanted it to be the original Disneyland, even if this meant waiting at least 18 or so months. Finally, after passing three other Disney sites on our way to America (Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo), we couldn’t believe we were finally on our way to Anaheim.
After a beautiful few days in San Francisco we were back in the car and were planning to take a few days to drive the Pacific Coast Highway down to Los Angeles.
After a busy few days we were happy to be staying in one place for four nights and giving ourselves some time to explore the city of San Francisco.
After our day of quaffing wines in Napa we travelled further east towards the Nevada/California border, and just inside the California border is a true bona fide ghost town named Bodie.
After leaving our friends in Oregon we headed south towards California, we had quite a lot planned for this state and our first stop was to enjoy some of their famous grapes.
This was something that we had had booked in for a while and we were so excited to see some familiar faces and experience the fun of Halloween in America.
