We really wanted to spend a few days in Boston but with accommodation costs so high we found some accommodation just out of the city in Everett and booked for three nights.
We booked through Airbnb and this was a good sized, three bedroom apartment with plenty of amenities. Good communication from the host, self check-in was easy and there were plenty of instructions inside the apartment.
The kitchen was stocked with plenty of cutlery, crockery and pots but only two small oven dishes. There was a large refrigerator/freezer, microwave, stove, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and dishwasher. We visited in early January and the temperatures were around freezing. There was a thermostat but there was a note on it stating not to adjust the temperature or settings. We found the apartment a bit cold with the tiles and wooden floors, a few rugs might help warm up the place and some drapes in the bedrooms as there was plastic over the window frames so we couldn’t adjust the blinds and let in some sunlight.Washing machine and dryer are available in the basement and service the Airbnb and two other apartments in the building. Free, off street parking available.
We did a thorough clean of the apartment and got it ready for the next guests to reduce the large cleaning fee.
There were many convenience stores and eateries within easy walking distance.
- Bunker Hill Monument – 7 kms
- Fenway Park – 13 kms
- Boston Common – 14 kms
We drove into Boston as we found it most convenient during this stay.
