America, New Jersey, Weehawken – Short Bus Ride to NYC – 1 Queen Bed & 1 Sofa Bed

Knowing we wanted to be in New York City over Christmas and the New Year we started looking for places very early. We looked in surrounding areas like Brooklyn and The Bronx and soon discovered this incredible space across the Hudson River in New Jersey state.

The apartment was already booking up fast and it had great reviews so in February we booked the place for two weeks. The building has four floors, two of which are Airbnb apartments but unfortunately the slightly bigger one was already booked for some of the dates we wanted so we booked the lower level one bedroom apartment. The hosts, Larry and David, live within the building and are incredible. The reviews were correct with what a fantastic location and apartment they have.

Amazing NYC views – 100m from the apartment

The bedroom was a good size with nice big comfortable bed, TV, drawers and wardrobe space. In the living area the sofa couch folds out into a good sized bed and we left it out during our stay as it was easy to move around it. The Wi-Fi as really good.Short Bus Ride to NYC_Weehawken_New Jersey_AmericaThe small kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and items, crockery and cutlery. There was a refrigerator/freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. We arrived to find a few items ready for our use, milk, orange juice, loaf of bread, eggs and fruit.Short Bus Ride to NYC_Weehawken_New Jersey_America_1The bathroom is a good sized space with seperate bath and shower, vanity and toilet. There were plenty of towels supplied.Short Bus Ride to NYC_Weehawken_New Jersey_America_2The washing machine and dryer are located on the same level as this apartment and services everyone in the building. Even though they are right outside the entrance way they never disturbed us.

As it was winter when we were there the outdoor garden area was closed off but there was a good sized park just around the corner. Heating inside the apartment was great.

Free street parking with a permit, which the hosts supplied us.
