America, Washington D.C – Warm and Welcoming DC Condo

We had wanted to stay just over the state border in Maryland as the taxes didn’t seem to be as high as in D.C, but with this listing being new on Airbnb, and on a bit of a special when we booked, we got it for a reasonable prices compared to others in the area.

We initially booked for five nights but then extended it to six. The host had quick and helpful communication, with self check-in instructions we had no issues finding and entering the property.Warm and Welcoming DC Condo_Washington D.C_America_1Beautiful, comfortable furnishings throughout. Master bedroom with wardrobe and set of drawers, ceiling fan, very comfortable bed with very nice linen and bedding. Second bedroom with small wardrobe and single bed that converts into a large bed. Not much room to move in the bedroom with the bed extended.Warm and Welcoming DC Condo_Washington D.C_America_2Kitchen was minimally stocked with just 4 sets of cutlery and crockery and sharp knife set. Nice set of stovetop cookware but no cooking utensils or items to cook in the oven or microwave. Oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and coffee supplied. The large refrigerator/freezer in the kitchen wasn’t working so a much smaller unit was in the lounge during our stay.

Very small bathroom with toilet, sink and shower.Warm and Welcoming DC Condo_Washington D.C_America_3Small washing machine and dryer available. Large TV with Netflix/Amazon Prime (to use with your own accounts) and good Wi-Fi. Some noise can be heard from the apartment above, especially their washing machine and dryer.

The listing stated that there was free street parking but when we arrived we saw that unless you had a parking permit it was only free parking for two hours between 6am-10pm. We contacted the host about this and she said she couldn’t provide a permit but that she had never had a ticket so if we got one she would cover the cost…. and we did get one during our stay which she did indeed refund us for.
