Canada, British Columbia, Vancouver – Unit in a House

We booked this two bedroom downstairs unit, which is part of a larger house, via Airbnb.

When we arrived the bathroom, kitchen and dining areas were not clean at all. We had to give the bathroom a full, deep clean before anyone used it and also a vacuum and good once over in the other areas. We contacted the host and sent photos of some of the areas before we cleaned them. The tenant in the main house visited us in the evening and confirmed that he only had enough time to clean the bedrooms. The host then offered us a partial refund.

The listing states the unit can sleep 7-8 (or more) but that would be quite a squeeze as the bedrooms aren’t that big and the kitchen, dining and bathroom aren’t either.Unit in a House_Vancouver_British_Canada_1The beds were pretty hard and the kitchen had minimal cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery but we made the most of our stay. Wi-Fi was good and there was a washing machine and dryer available that is shared with the upstairs tenants.Unit in a House_Vancouver_British_Canada_2There is lots of street parking and we did enjoy the neighbourhood and surrounding areas.
