We needed a place for three nights and we found this two bedroom apartment via Airbnb. The host had good communication and gave a lot of information before check in. Finding the location with the directions we were given wasn’t the easiest though and the host wasn’t returning messages at this time to assist us. It was getting dark but with a bit more searching and some helpful locals we found the building and apartment and got ourselves checked-in.
Good sized apartment, gets a good amount of natural light in the sitting area. Very comfortable furnishings throughout. Kitchen only has a few pieces of cutlery and crockery, 1 pot, 1 wok, a kettle, rice cooker and large refrigerator. Both bedrooms have comfortable double beds and very nice linen and a double wardrobe. Bathroom is simple with 2 shower heads (good water pressure and temperature), toilet and sink. Washing machine available and drying rack. Wi-Fi was of average speed. We only received two bath towels and two small hand towels and were advised no other towels were provided. Thought this was strange for four guests.
Lots of eateries, mini marts and Metro supermarket close by in the complex (Huayu Plaza).
- Tazishan Park Metro Station – 800m
- Chengdu East Railway Station – 3.4km
- Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding – 18km
There are plenty of taxis in the area, and they were quite a cheap transport option, but getting a taxi in China as a foreigner can be difficult at times as some drivers just don’t want to take foreigner passengers even if you have the address in Chinese. China has a service similar to Uber called ‘Didi Chuxing’ but we couldn’t download it from our App Store.
Price = $50.66 NZD per night (included Airbnb service fees)
