China, Shanghai – Loft Apartment

Our last stop in China and we booked a two bedroom, one bathroom loft apartment to stay for five nights to give ourselves a breather and do some day trips from a Shanghai base. The host had reasonable communication until we had some issues and then it took us saying we would contact Airbnb for him to reply.

There were no towels provided and just a very minimal amount of toilet paper. A few hours after we had checked in the cleaner arrived and via translation apps we found she had forgotten to clean the bathroom. It didn’t really matter as we had already cleaned up all the hair in the shower as we needed to have showers ourselves. We tried to ask her about towels but with no luck. After a couple of messages to the host she returned the following day with two small hand towels and that was it.

Reasonably spaced living area with couch, four place table setting and small kitchen with a few pieces of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. Didn’t use the TV, the Wi-Fi had an ok speed. Bathroom was small with a enclosed shower, toilet and vanity.Loft Apartment_Shanghai_ChinaVery low ceilings in the bedrooms and bathroom. Beds were very hard with reasonable linen, both bedrooms had air conditioning units.Loft Apartment_Shanghai_China_1
