Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur – Regalia Residence

We were surprised to be back in KL after leaving just over a year prior but with a detour back towards this direction after Macau we decided to spend a few days chilling out in KL, picking up a few items we needed (much cheaper than Hong Kong and Macau) and eating some tasty, tasty food.

We found a large apartment in a different part of KL to where we stayed previously and it had amazing views of the city from the 33rd floor with plenty of natural light. Open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with large balcony looking out towards the Petronas Twin Towers and the KL Tower.Regalia Residence_KL_Malaysia_1Kitchen has some cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils, kettle, microwave and medium sized refrigerator. Dining table with 8 chairs and nice furnishings in the sitting/lounge area. This space has an air conditioning unit, ceiling fan, stand up fan, smart TV and good Wi-Fi.Regalia Residence_KL_Malaysia_2Main bedroom is a large space with a comfortable bed and linen is of good quality. Room has some drawers, hanging rods, air conditioning unit and ceiling fan. Ensuite bathroom has partly enclosed shower, toilet and sink. Second smaller bedroom has a comfortable bed with good linen and air conditioning unit. Second smaller bathroom is all open plan with shower, toilet and sink.Regalia Residence_KL_Malaysia_3Washing machine with a few of hangers to dry clothes, a drying rack would have also been helpful. 4 x single mattress available with linen for extra guests.

Unfortunately children under 12 years cannot swim in the rooftop pool so our boys were a little disappointed as we had no knowledge of this prior to booking. They can only use the pool on the 5th floor but it didn’t get much sun because of the tall buildings.

The apartment complex has a good sized convenience store on site, as well as a small cafe. There are only 4 lifts for the apartment buildings servicing 300+ apartments and often they weren’t all working so it could take awhile to move around the building.

The hosts had fast communication and sent us helpful directions and check-in information.
